About Microbial and Environmental Biotechnology lab 2 Department

The Department of Post Harvest and Food Biotechnology was established in year 2008 as per norms of Fourth dean committee. Currently, the Department offers different courses such as Food science and processing, Post Harvest Biotechnology of Horticultural crops, Food and Nutrition Security of GM Food crops Fruit And Vegetable Biotechnology, Brewing technology and Wine technology for the undergraduate students. In addition, the department also imparts hands on training project recommendations of IV Dean’s Committee.

The department is equipped with various Instruments like Rorary vacuum evaporator, Fermenter, pH meters, Chromatographic apparatus, Analytical balance, Water bath, Vortex mixer, Electrophoretic apparatus etc.
