What is Ragging?
Ragging in any form is banned inside and outside the campus. Ragging has ruined countless innocent lives and careers. Strict action is taken against persons flouting this rule. Suspension and/or withdrawal from college will be taken against the offender.
“ Ragging ” means display of disorderly conduct, doing of any act which causes or is likely to cause physical or psychological harm or raise apprehension or fear or shame or embarrassment to a student in any educational institution and includes—
(i) teasing, abusing, threatening or playing practical jokes on, or causing hurt to, such student; or
(ii) asking a student to do any act or perform something which such student will not, in the ordinary course, willingly, do.
Ragging within or outside of any educational institution is prohibited.
Punishments against ragging
According to Maharashtra Prohibition of Ragging Act 1999, ragging is a criminal offence. College will take strict action against those found guilty of Ragging Act and/or of Abetting Ragging. Action against ragging is as follows:
It is mandatory to fill in an Anti Raging Undertaking online , please visit www.antiragging.in or www.amanmovement.org. Take print out of it. Sign by student and parent then submit it to college.
